omg! i know i haven't posted in a while, but i was just flipping through the channels and guess what i came across? Kanies, do you remember how obsessive we were about this movie? heh. some of us even started posting at ck.net after it aired.

only a couple more hours and the UKers will be enjoying the season finale of Doctor Who!! then only an hour or so more until the rest of us in the world can join in the squee/wtf/aaaaaaaaaah(!!!)-ness of it. this week has been a nail-biter after that cliffhanger RTD left us with.

now i think i will go watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall to get my mind off how long i have to wait.

oh! p.s. i saw Wanted last night. didn't love it as much as i thought it would, but it was definitely entertaining and 2 hours or so of James McAvoy is never a bad thing. even if he was sporting a generic american accent.

yes, you are seeing correctly. that is a Corolla that has been "transformed" into what appears to be a truck. they've got a homemade "cover" on it complete with a padlock. i wish i'd gotten a picture of it from the side because it was the most hilarious thing i've seen all day and totally made me think of the Top Gear guys.

who does this? wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a truck? people are cah-razy!

i was having fun with archive.org and looking up places i used to post and whatnot and i found some things that i felt like sharing.

for the TSSers. look at that! back when i still read spoilers and posted about them. the Magic Box! oh man, we had some fun. does anybody remember officially what year Gina closed the place down? i know batman made a replacement board for us, but it was never quite the same. oh and does anybody still have contact with MG? when we migrated to lj, he never did follow that i know of.

for the ck.netters/Kanies. i actually found an archive here and there of the message board, but there wasn't really anything all that interesting. i was really hoping i'd come across some of Rachel's insane ramblings because that stuff was classic!! i was trying to remember the ezboard address of the old cheese board, but couldn't and therefore couldn't see if any of the robots had picked up stuff before the great ezboard crash that lost all of our awesomeness. (run-on sentence much?) so if anyone remembers, let me know or just go to archive.org and see if any of the old posts are there. stuff from the Fight Club, for instance. there was some comedy gold in there that is probably lost forever.

for the Bronzers. man, i miss the way the board looked back then. plus, scroll down on that second link. ha!

for the Baters/Bronzers. this was my archive site that i've since taken down. the last day of the Bronze is there, my first day posting, remembering September 11 in 2002 and PBP in 2002. oh and there's also this and this, which document the Penlind debacle. scrolling through those boards was so much fun. there were so many of us posting back then. now it's, like, 5 or 6 regular posters and most of them i don't even like! *shakes head* how times have changed.

i decided to check my account balance with AT&T to see just how bad i went over my text messaging plan last month. i owe $89.66. that's $34.40 in overages. bwah! oh DCook, the things i'll do for you. i just counted up the number of texts i sent on finale night and it was 446. i'm guessing with phone calls i voted upwards of 600 times. obsessed? naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

i think watching the Fringe pilot made my Joshua Jackson love resurface because i pulled out my Dawson's Creek dvds a little while ago and have since been watching the best of Pacey and Joey. Katie Holmes is hardly the best actress, but JJ brings out the best in her. i think that happens a lot with my OTPs, actually. i'm currently watching the angst fest that is The Longest Day and mostly i'm yelling at my tv for them to tell Dawson already because watching Dawson cry is kind of like a hobby.

i wish i had time to watch the scene from my icon, but i really have to go to bed. oh P/J, you are totally on my top 10 OTPs.

i finished The Host this afternoon. yes, i'm behind. i wanted to wait and see what a few of you said about if before i delved into it. i actually really liked it. i know some people compared it to Twilight because of the love triangle, but nothing in it reminded me of any of the Twilight characters.

all in all, i'd say if you enjoyed any of the Twilight trilogy you'd enjoy this one. just give it more than the first couple of chapters.

really quick before i head out the door. David Cook fans are the best. seriously. i really can't wait to hear what David's reaction to this is.

*squishes him* whywhywhy is the Idols tour not coming here this year?! gah!! i just might have to drive to lexington.

i feel so sorry for west coasters. it really is impossible to stay unspoiled for things like American Idol finales, isn't it? well...( i'll cut this in case you've actually managed to stay unspoiled. )

after seeing the awfulness that is the trailer for the american remake of Life on Mars i decided to start a rewatch of the original. really i tried to get my sister to watch with me, but she's been pretty uninterested in tv lately. so i'm going on without her.

it's amazing to me how cheesy that american trailer made the show seem. i really hope people find a way to see the original because John Simm and Phillip Glenister are LoM.

there are so many shows that i want to do massive rewatches of. Buffy, Angel, Farscape, Supernatural. the list goes on and on. there's really not enough time in the day. i'm really looking forward to the long weekend because i plan on doing absolutely nothing.

i love coming online and seeing my flist exploding!! Twilight trailer FTMFW, y'all!!!

p.s. i saw Iron Man yesterday and it is also made of awesome. i've been an RDJ fangirl for a while now. i so hope he's finally put all of his demons to rest.

today is officially my 7th postiversary here in lj land! basically, i'm going to say the same thing i said last year. i love the comfort of knowing i can come here on a daily basis and not only talk about life, fandom, music and whatever other random things come up but i can also read my flist and see what all of you are posting about. i'm happy to have every one of you on my reading list and hear about whatever you feel like sharing. so thanks for being a part of my livejournaling adventures.

Happy Belated Birthday rachelmack and halcyon_shift!!!

umm...so i just bought a new laptop. yes, i know i just bought one last year. to be fair, i just couldn't take the HP anymore. i refuse to send it back for a fifth time for something they keep claiming they've fixed. they didn't seem at all put out when i told them i wouldn't be buying another HP product and i was going to tell everyone i knew not to, as well. so screw 'em. toshiba it is!! i'm going to clear off everything from the old one and try to get someone to buy it off of me that doesn't mind screen flickering.

i got this one and i think i love it. the slick keyboard is going to take some getting used to though! i really just hope that this is a good computer to me. it's not that much to ask that i be able to see the screen, is it?

i will respond to your fandom discussion in just a minute. first, ( i have to react to HIMYM. )

so...who wants to discuss Skins with me? or how about how awesome it is that Brian Austin Green has been made a series regular on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. or maybe how excited this video makes you. or maybe just general squeeing over how awesome DCook is and if he's going to knock it out of the park again tomorrow night.

i wasn't nearly this protective of Blake last year and people said some pretty shitty things about him too. but i was never this affected by it. maybe DCook is more of a woobie than Blake. hee!
